Our continuing series on creating fun cocktails continues as amazing chefs around the country kindly share their summer drinks -
Wolfgang Puck’s “The Source” in DC provides –
Ginger Mojito - It is made with fresh mint leaves which are muddled with ginger, fresh squeezed lime juice and simple syrup. It is then topped off with ice, Montecristo spiced Rum and gingerale!
Passionfruit Cosmopolitan - Skyy Citrus with fresh passionfruit puree, cranberry juice and a dash of fresh squeezed lime juice.
Asian Pear Drop Martini - Absolute Pear Vodka, fresh Pear puree and a dash of sake
The 2008 RAMMY Restaurant Awards official Cocktail “The lo-le Cherry” created by Gina Chersevani of Tallula/Eat Bar.
1.5 oz. Christiania
1 oz. sour cherry puree
1 oz. simple syrup
Dash of basil water
Dash of fresh ginger juice
Dash of fresh lime juice
Mix all ingredients together and serve in a lowball glass on the rocks. Garnish with Basil leaf.
Perfect for sipping while watching the sun drop over the Pacific, Montage Laguna Beach captures the ocean spray in its Huckleberry Fizz:
1.5 oz. Tanqueray Ten Gin
1 tsp. powdered sugar
1 oz. fresh lemon juice
Drizzle of huckleberry syrup
Pour all ingredients into cocktail shaker, shake and then pour over ice into a tall glass.

2 oz. El Cielo Blanco Tequila
1 oz. Cointreau
2 oz. House Made Sweet and Sour
1 oz. Fresh Blood Orange Juice
Served on the rocks with a sugar and salt rim.
At Campton Place Bar, the clubby sanctuary at San Francisco's 110-room boutique Campton Place, A Taj Hotel, the Taj Palace Cocktails pay tribute to the property's sister hotels in India - four authentically restored palaces, one still home to royalty - capturing the allure of a bygone era in a glass. One favorite, the Jodhpur "Blue" Martini, is named for the Umaid Bhawan Palace in the "blue city" of Jodhpur, India:
1.5 oz. Bombay Sapphire
1.5 oz.Stolichnaya
2 drops Blue Curacao
1 drop Martini Bianco
Garnish - thin orange peel
Pour all ingredients into a brandy snifter, add 4 ice cubes and swirl tableside. Place a swizzle stick across a martini glass and pour the drink into the glass over the swizzle stick.
